Biography

An Engineer with particular interest in scientific communication, diffusion of knowledge, engineering education, philosophy of technology, and the interaction between technology, society and the Christian faith. Founder and Vice-President of the Brazilian Association of Christians in Science (ABC2), member of Christians in Science UK. Associate Professor in the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at Escola Politécnica of the University of São Paulo. Visiting Associate at the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford (UK) in 2013-14; Visiting Associate in Aerospace at GALCIT, California Institute of Technology (USA) in 2016-17; and Visiting Associate at the Dept. of Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University (USA) in 2023-24. Deputy Scientific Director of OTIC Offshore Technology Innovation Centre; and Director for Innovation and Technology Transfer in the RCGI Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Innovation.
