Biography

Associate Professor, Director of the Public Interest and Human Rights Legal Clinic, University of La Sabana (Colombia), Co-director of the International Law Research Group and member of the Academic Committee of the International Law Master’s at University of La Sabana (Colombia). She coordinates the Observatory of the Special Jurisdiction for Peace. Holds a law degree from Javeriana University (Colombia); a Master in Human Rights from Externado University (Colombia); an LL.M. in International Legal Studies from NYU and is pursuing her Ph.D. at UNAM (Mexico). She has advised and extensively published in matters of international law and transitional justice for more than 15 years. She has represented Colombia and Bolivia before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in more than 10 cases. As part of the Office of the High Commissioner for Peace, she participated in the Colombian peace process. She presided the Colombian Academy of International Law and is a professor at prestigious national and foreign universities.
